DNV 2.7-1 containers are designed to cope with harsh offshore and special logistics environments. Its core application scenarios include:
Offshore oil and gas operating platforms:
This is the most typical application area. Such containers need to withstand harsh marine environments (such as salt spray, high humidity, strong winds and waves) and frequent lifting operations, and are used to transport and store equipment, tools, spare parts and personnel materials required for the platform. Its design meets stacking requirements and is equipped with standard slings and certified shackles.
Dangerous goods (DG) transportation:
It is particularly suitable for the transportation of special goods such as dangerous chemicals, flammable and explosive goods at sea and on land. It has strict requirements on structural strength, sealing, fire and explosion protection and identification systems to ensure transportation safety.
Offshore wind power facilities:
It is used for the offshore transportation, storage and lifting of wind turbine components (such as blades, gearboxes), installation tools and operation and maintenance materials, and also faces harsh marine environmental challenges.
Ship supply and logistics:
As a supply container for ships (especially engineering ships, scientific research ships, and large cargo ships), it is hoisted and transferred between ports and ships or ship-to-ship to transport food, materials, equipment, etc.
Key nodes of land-sea multimodal transport:
In places such as docks and heavy equipment manufacturing plants, it is used in occasions where frequent hoisting is required or there are special requirements for container strength and safety (such as equipped with certified lifting points and high-strength lifting rigging).
