The qualification certification of offshore containers is mainly based on the certification standard 2.7-1 of the Norwegian Classification Society DNV. This standard covers the design, testing and production requirements of offshore containers to ensure their strength and safety during transportation and lifting. The certification standard was first published in 1989 and has been revised many times. The latest version is consistent with the EN12079 standard. The certification content includes details such as material requirements, design specifications, production testing and slings. Containers certified by this standard meet the requirements of MSC/Circ.860 and are suitable for use in mild climates.
