On May 29, 2025, China's first 50,000-ton pulling jack traction loading system, developed by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., was first used in the loading process of the Kenli 10-2 oilfield central processing platform. The overall performance reached the international advanced level, marking a key breakthrough in China's large-scale marine oil and gas structure loading capacity, which is of great significance to improving the level of marine oil and gas equipment manufacturing and ensuring national energy security.
It is understood that the Kenli 10-2 central processing platform loaded this time has a design weight of more than 20,000 tons. It is the heaviest and largest offshore oil and gas platform in the Bohai Sea. It uses a 50,000-ton pulling jack traction loading system, with a traction distance of more than 200 meters and an average loading speed of 25 meters/hour, which is about 60% more efficient than similar foreign equipment. According to Song Xiaoxiu, the person in charge of the pulling jack traction loading system of COOEC, the 50,000-ton pulling jack traction loading system was independently developed by COOEC and Liuzhou Ovim Machinery Co., Ltd. It mainly includes 10 1,000-ton pulling jacks, 4 1,000-ton booster jacks, power stations, control systems and fixed anchor points. All key components are domestically produced, and the maximum traction weight can reach 50,000 tons. Compared with conventional loading equipment, its operation safety performance, operation and maintenance efficiency, and energy saving and consumption reduction have achieved remarkable results. Since the delivery of the system, COOEC has organized multiple no-load, full-load and overload tests, and conducted all-round inspections of key equipment such as oil pipes, cables, and control systems. Through iterative upgrades of the control system and the establishment of a multi-parameter real-time monitoring system, a "double redundant" network architecture of the monitoring room and the control room has been constructed, which has enhanced the stability of the data link and improved the system operation reliability and operation coordination efficiency. In the past ten years, COOEC has completed the towing and loading of about 300 structures, including 34 10,000-ton structures. It has independently mastered all types of loading technologies such as marine structure hoisting and loading, SPMT (self-propelled modular transporter) loading, horizontal towing loading and longitudinal towing loading. It has built an independent technology system with a 1,000-ton pulling jack cluster, intelligent hydraulic power station, high-precision booster device, integrated control system and Internet of Things monitoring platform as the core. The loading capacity has achieved a leapfrog development from 17,000 tons to 50,000 tons, providing all-round technical support for the efficient construction of China's marine oil and gas equipment.
